Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge

Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge is the first rail-cum-road bridge designed and built independently by China, with two tracks on the lower deck and four carriageways on the upper deck. It is of great significance both in the history of bridges in China and in the world. This bridge is also an important achievement in China's economic construction in the 1960s and a momentousl milestone of bridge construction in China, which is of great economic, political and strategic significance.

In 1960, it was included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's longest rail-cum-road bridge.


In July 2014, it was selected as an Immovable Cultural Heritage.


In September 2016, the bridge entered into the Chinese Architectural Heritage List of 20th Century.
