Source:CREC Date:2018年11月26日

CREC integrates mineral resources development, trade logistics, geological survey into one, and its mineral resources projects are distributed in Congo-Kinshasa, Australia, Mongolia and other countries (regions) as well as Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Heilongjiang, Fujian and other provinces, having gold, silver, copper, cobalt, lead, zinc, molybdenum, coal and other resources. Of which, it owns copper resources of about 9.97 million tons, cobalt resources of 650,000 tons, molybdenum resources of about 780,000 tons, lead resources of about 720,000 tons, zinc resources of about 1.3 million tons, coking coal of about 250 million tons, and lignite of 1.92 billion tons.

In addition, CREC has also conducted strategic cooperation with PetroChina, Hebei Iron and Steel, Shaanxi Iron and Steel, JD.COM and other enterprises in the field of business and trade, and is constantly becoming stronger and better.

Mineral Resource Development

Mineral resource development is an emerging business module of CREC in recent years. Keeping up with the development direction, CREC set up a subsidiary, China Railway Resources Group, in Beijing on June 25, 2008. The subsidiary regards geological exploration as foundation, energy, non-ferrous metals and precious metals as key development point, and geological prospecting, mine development, and logistics operation as method.

Major Projects:

I. Copper and Cobalt Industrial Base in Democratic Republic of the Congo

National Development and Reform Commission has made plans for the development and utilization of overseas copper resources. China Railway Resources Group has been listed as a key enterprise for the development of overseas copper resources. Copper industrial cluster of China Railway Resources Group in Democratic Republic of the Congo with an annual capacity of 300,000 to 350,000 tons of copper has also been listed as China’s key overseas copper resource base.
