On January 15, the Qinyang-Yichuan Expressway Yellow River Grand Bridge, co-constructed by China Railway Hi-Tech Industry under CREC, was completed as the final steel trough beam was precisely positioned and welded at a height of 13.8 meters above the ground.
The Yellow River Grand Bridge is a key control project on the Qinyang-Yichuan Expressway, which connects Qinyang City in Jiaozuo and Yichuan County in Luoyang, Henan Province. The bridge’s two ends are located near Xinbei Village in Mengzhou and Mayugou Village in Kangdian Town.
The main bridge spans 2,585 meters, features six lanes, and is designed for a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The main girder uses a trough-shaped steel-concrete composite beam structure, and the construction utilized an independently developed, state-of-the-art incremental launching method. The maximum single-direction launching distance reached 1,285 meters, with a single-span push distance of 100 meters, ranking among the top in domestic bridge construction.
China Railway Hi-Tech Industry undertook the manufacturing and installation of approximately 21,000 tons of steel girders for the bridge.
